Chosen for Change focuses on providing support to other families who have lost loved ones due to police brutality or community violence. Brown, Sr. and the CFC mourns the unconscionable murders of Delrawn Small, Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, Alva Braziel and those individuals whose names we may never hear or know.

Michael Brown, Sr., turned his “pain into purpose” and established The Michael Brown Foundation d/b/a Chosen for Change (CFC) in the honor of his son, Mike Brown.

DeMarco Davidson

Executive Director

DeMarco Davidson has spent most of his life in education, engineering, youth development, and community organizing. Davidson brings these experiences to Chosen For Change.

Currently, DeMarco serves and worships at Saint John's Church (The Beloved Community) and is earning his Masters in Divinity at Eden Theological Seminary.  His focus is Black Liberation Theology and Community Redevelopment.

 

 

Jana M. Gamble

Vice President

Jana M. Gamble is a Producer, Director, Keynote Speaker, Author and Advocate. Since 2015, Gamble has served as the Vice President for the Michael Brown Foundation DBA Chosen For Change.

Jana brings her Videography, Photography, Social Media and PR expertise to CFC to help make our mission possible.

Pamela Meanes

General Counsel

Pamela Meanes realized that becoming a lawyer would be the best way to effect real change in her community, earning her J.D. from the University of Iowa.

In 2005, Pamela was elected partner at Thompson Coburn. She is the first African American to be elevated from associate to partner. With over 20 years experience, she practices in the firm's litigation department and has represented corporations, public agencies and financial institutions on a variety of matters. 

Pamela is also an ordained minister and is active in her church, The New Freedom Church in Belleville, IL. She is married to Reverend Doctor William M. Meanes, Sr. and they have seven wonderful children: Wilson, Ciara, Kandia, William, Jr., Anointing, Aayannah and Divinity.
